The Idea
S Camdyn Crouse is the CEO of Crouse Industries. She wanted to be an inventor, so...she had the idea of The North Pole Snowball Maker. It is a snowball maker that makes ten snowballs at a time. She had the idea from the snow out in her yard, and she thought since it was cold out a snowball maker would be a fun idea. So...that's how The North Pole Snowball Maker came to be!

Building
When Camdyn knew her idea and had the right materials she began building her prototype. Her dad even let her handle the power tools! She used 1 x 4 boards, brad nails, screws, hinges, and tennis balls. Camdyn thought if she were to continue with her invention and company that she would build her prototype in plastic! Nothing could stop her now!

Poster Time! Once her prototype was finished she wanted to create a poster board. Camdyn wanted to put on everything the judges needed to know, she was preparing for the Ottumwa Invention Convention. She even glued pictures of herself working on her prototype. The day before Invention Convention she finished her board, very proud of it too!

Winning Invention Convention
When Camdyn went to Invention Convention and talked with her judge she was announced winner of the Ottumwa Invention Convention, she decided she wanted to start her own business and website! That's when Crouse Industries was born! Thanks to the help of her team who will be listed in the About page!

Going To State Camdyn didn't stop there, she filled out a form and sent it to the Invent Iowa organizers. She then got an email a couple weeks after, saying that she got accepted! Camdyn was SO excited! Right away she made her business and logo's, she even started this website!

Preparation Camdyn got a new board and everything! She even contacted a friend of her mothers, who is a graphic designer. Her name was Kate, Camdyn gave Kate my ideas for Crouse Industries logo's. She happily created them and made the business cards Camdyn had wanted. One of Camdyn's school teachers has a husband who is a Project Lead The Way teacher at Evans Middle School in Ottumwa Iowa. He agreed to help Camdyn with finding the cost of her invention if it were made out of plastic. He is currently still finishing this. Camdyn is very thankful for the help of her friends!
